Guinea Pig Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of guinea pig Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF). The assay is designed to measure BDNF in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for guinea pig samples.

The kit is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format. It uses a sandwich immunoassay workflow in which samples and standards are incubated with an immobilized anti-BDNF antibody, followed by washing and incubation with a biotinylated anti-BDNF detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution; the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Quantitative performance is supported by a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.059 ng/ml. Reported recovery ranges across sample matrices are 80-102% for serum, 81-100% for EDTA plasma, and 80-89% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol.
