Guinea Pig Albumin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of guinea pig Albumin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for Albumin, combined with a biotinylated anti-Albumin detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that converts to yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative assay range is 1.56–100 µg/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.48 µg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Average recovery ranged from 84% to 91% across sample matrices, with serum averaging 91%, EDTA plasma 90% and heparin plasma 84%. Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
