Goat Leptin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of goat Leptin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing a Leptin-specific capture antibody. Standards and samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Leptin detection antibody is introduced, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that converts to yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative sandwich assay has a working range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.081 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Recovery was demonstrated across serum (80%-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81%-99%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (80%-89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 was reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
