Goat Interleukin 6 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of goat Interleukin 6 (IL-6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Distributed by Antibodies.com, the kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate together with a biotinylated anti-IL-6 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, producing a colourimetric signal read at 450 nm.

The stated detection range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 6.1 pg/ml, and the assay takes around 4 hours 30 minutes from sample addition to final read. Manufacturer data report mean recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (81–99%) and 84% in heparin plasma (80–89%), each from n = 5 samples, with spike-and-recovery also assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
