Goat Interleukin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the quantitative determination of goat Interleukin 2 (IL-2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay runs on a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where IL-2 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader and IL-2 concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

The colourmetric assay reports a sensitivity of <6.9 pg/ml with a measuring range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery values across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma range from 80% to 102%, with average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively. The kit contains a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with components stored at -20°C or +4°C as appropriate.
