Goat Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of goat Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 4 (IGFBP4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for IGFBP4 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-IGFBP4 Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and the IGFBP4 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Components include lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers.

Manufacturer-quoted specifications include an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.113 ng/ml. The kit is intended for use with goat samples and is stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed; components should not be used past the expiration date.
