Goat Caveolin 1 ELISA Kit

Sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of goat Caveolin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique in which an antibody specific for Caveolin 1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Caveolin 1 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Caveolin 1 captured in each well, with absorbance read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and concentration calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Sensitivity is reported as <0.06 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery values across five samples were: serum 80%-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%-100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80%-89% (average 84%). Linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
