Glycogen Synthase (phospho Ser645) Cell Based ELISA Kit

Designed for the indirect in vitro quantitative determination of GYS1 levels in adherent and suspension cells, this cell-based ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables qualitative detection of Glycogen Synthase at the phospho Ser645 modification (Ser644 in rat). The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which the target is captured by anti-phospho-Glycogen Synthase antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, producing a colorimetric signal upon substrate addition.

Multiple normalization methods are included: an anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control, a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step accounts for plating differences by normalizing to cell density, and a non-phosphorylated anti-Glycogen Synthase antibody allows normalization of the phosphorylated signal.

The kit is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples and shows no reported cross-reactivity. It is run on a tissue culture treated microplate in a cell-based qualitative format with colorimetric detection, completing in 4 hours 30 minutes.
