General Vitamin B12 ELISA Kit

A competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Vitamin B12 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with Vitamin B12 antigen, and the assay employs a biotinylated anti-Vitamin B12 antibody with an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour that is read at 450 nm. The intensity of the colour is inversely proportional to the amount of Vitamin B12 present in each sample.

Reported sensitivity is 3.80 pg/ml with an assay range of 4.68-300 pg/ml. Total assay time is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. In validation testing (n=5), recovery ranged from 83-100% (average 91%) for serum, 90-103% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma and 89-102% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
