General Thyroxine ELISA Kit

Offered by Antibodies.com, this Thyroxine ELISA Kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Thyroxine in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay shows universal reactivity and employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips.

Thyroxine present in samples or standards competes with the immobilized Thyroxine antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Thyroxine Antibody, producing a signal inversely proportional to Thyroxine concentration. An HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate for colorimetric detection, with absorbance measured at 450nm in a microplate reader. The working range is 1.25-80 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.63 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 2h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
