General Testosterone ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of Testosterone in serum, plasma, urine or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and a Biotinylated Anti-Testosterone Antibody in a competitive enzyme immunoassay format, with HRP-Avidin detection and TMB substrate visualisation. Following incubation, the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration of Testosterone is calculated against a standard curve (colour intensity is inversely proportional to the amount of Testosterone present in the sample).

The reported product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.063 ng/ml. The total assay time is 2 h 30 min. Recovery experiments (n=5) returned average values of 92% in serum (range 82–102%), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 90–100%), and 94% in heparin plasma (range 88–100%). Parallelism testing across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions fell within 75–110% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
