General Reverse Triiodothyronine ELISA Kit

The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and uses a biotinylated anti-Reverse Triiodothyronine antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Detection is based on competitive inhibition, where Reverse Triiodothyronine in the sample competes with immobilized antigen for antibody binding, so the resulting absorbance is inversely proportional to analyte concentration. Total assay time is 2h 30m, with a quoted detection range of 93.75-6000 pg/ml and sensitivity of 24.32 pg/ml.

Reported recovery ranges are 80%-102% for serum (n=5, average 91%), 81%-100% for EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%) and 80%-89% for heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%), with linearity data supplied at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
