General Prostaglandin H2 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a competitive ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of Prostaglandin H2 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids, with reactivity described as universal. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-Prostaglandin H2 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with signal developed using TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported sensitivity is <4.2 pg/ml and the assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.

Mean recovery values from spiked samples (n=5) are reported as 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported at 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
