General Prostaglandin E2 ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA (cELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of Prostaglandin E2 in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique: Prostaglandin E2 in samples or standards competes with pre-coated antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Prostaglandin E2 antibody. An HRP-Avidin conjugate with TMB substrate produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a product range of 4.68-300 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <1.36 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 2h 30m. Reactivity is listed as universal. Recovery values are provided for serum (range 80%-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, average 84%, n=5), with values also reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for each sample type.
