General Pentosidine ELISA Kit

A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Pentosidine in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for universal reactivity.

The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with Pentosidine antigen. Pentosidine in samples or standards competes with the immobilized antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Pentosidine Antibody. Following incubation and washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate generate a colourimetric signal read at 450 nm; signal intensity is inversely proportional to Pentosidine concentration. Total assay time is 2 h 30 m. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed.

Reported performance: detection range 6.25–400 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.75 ng/ml. Spiked-sample recovery (average, n=5): serum 91% (range 80–102%), EDTA plasma 90% (range 81–100%), heparin plasma 84% (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 has been demonstrated for all three sample types.
