General Lipopolysaccharides ELISA Kit

A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of Lipopolysaccharides in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate on which sample or standard analyte competes with immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Lipopolysaccharides antibody. After washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate; the catalysed product changes from blue to yellow upon addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with colour intensity inversely proportional to Lipopolysaccharides concentration.

The reported measuring range is 3.12-200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.24 ng/ml, and the full protocol is completed in 2h 30m. Reported mean recoveries are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
