General Inositol Triphosphate ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of Inositol Triphosphate in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate. Inositol Triphosphate in samples or standards competes with the immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Inositol Triphosphate antibody. Detection uses an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader; the intensity of yellow colour is inversely proportional to analyte concentration. The quantitative working range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.13 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 2h 30m.

Validated recovery values average 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.
