General Histamine ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Histamine in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The 96-well plate (12 x 8 well strips) is pre-coated with Histamine antigen and the assay is completed in approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 1.12 ng/ml and the detection range is 3.12–200 ng/ml.

The assay uses a biotinylated anti-Histamine antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is inversely proportional to Histamine concentration. A pre-coated monoclonal antibody and competitive inhibition format enable quantification by reference to a standard curve. Host species is Rabbit and isotype IgG. Recovery performance is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, and kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, with freeze/thaw cycles to be avoided.
