General Glutathione ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Glutathione in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The pre-coated 96-well microplate uses a competitive immunoassay format, in which Glutathione in samples or standards competes with immobilized antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Glutathione Antibody. After washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate; the resulting yellow colour density is inversely proportional to Glutathione concentration and is read at 450 nm against a standard curve. The assay is reported with a sensitivity of <0.059 µg/ml and a working range of 1.56-100 µg/ml, with a total assay time of 2h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.

The kit is suitable for serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Reported recovery ranges are: serum 80-102% (average 91%, n=5); EDTA plasma 81-100% (average 90%, n=5); heparin plasma 80-89% (average 84%, n=5). Linearity is reported across sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
