General Epitestosterone ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Epitestosterone in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. It employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

During the assay, Epitestosterone in samples or standards competes with the fixed amount of immobilized Epitestosterone antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Epitestosterone antibody. An HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are used to generate a colour signal inversely proportional to Epitestosterone concentration, which is calculated by reference to a standard curve. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Stated performance figures include a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <8.33 pg/ml, and an assay time of 2h 30m. Average recovery across samples (n=5) is reported as 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–99%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%).
