General Asymmetrical Dimethylarginine ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Asymmetrical Dimethylarginine in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate format, in which sample analyte competes with immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated detection antibody. Following incubation with HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a product range of 15.6–1000 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <4.63 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 2 hours 30 minutes. The kit is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), together with lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored between +4°C and -20°C as instructed.

Validation data report mean recovery of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5). Linearity of dilution has been confirmed at ratios of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
