General Androsterone ELISA Kit

A competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Androsterone in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay has universal reactivity and uses a colorimetric detection method.

The kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique with a pre-coated microplate platform consisting of 12 x 8 well strips. Sensitivity is <0.507 ng/ml, with a product range of 1.4-90 ng/ml. The total assay time is 2 hours 30 minutes. The procedure involves measuring O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader to calculate Androsterone concentration from a standard curve, where the density of yellow colour is inversely proportional to the amount of Androsterone present in each sample or standard.

Reported recovery values are 80%-102% (average 91%, n=5) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%, n=5) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%, n=5) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity data are also provided for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
