General Acetylcholine ELISA Kit

A competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Acetylcholine in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. Reactivity is listed as universal, and absorbance is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Built around a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips), the kit uses a competitive enzyme immunoassay format in which sample Acetylcholine competes with immobilised antigen for a biotinylated anti-Acetylcholine antibody. After washing, an HRP–avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are added; the resulting yellow product, read at 450 nm, is inversely proportional to the analyte concentration. The stated assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.8 pg/ml, and total assay time is approximately 2 h 30 m. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.

Reported average recovery is 91 % in serum (range 80–102 %), 90 % in EDTA plasma (range 81–100 %) and 84 % in heparin plasma (range 80–89 %). Dilution-linearity ranges across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions are 74–107 % for serum, 79–108 % for EDTA plasma and 82–105 % for heparin plasma. The kit contains a pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
