General 1,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of 1,25-Dihydroxy Vitamin D3 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit's 96-well microplate is pre-coated with 1,25-Dihydroxy Vitamin D3 antigen and uses a biotinylated anti-1,25-Dihydroxy Vitamin D3 antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The signal is inversely proportional to analyte concentration, allowing quantitative measurement against a standard curve. Total assay time is 2h 30m.

Sensitivity is reported as <4.1 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. Reported average recovery values (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (80%-89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is also reported for each sample matrix, for example serum (n=5) at 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% respectively.

The platform is a pre-coated microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips, and reactivity is described as universal/general. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
