Description
A monoclonal antibody from MOLEQULE-ON (New Zealand) directed against glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), a widely used housekeeping protein. It is supplied at 1 mg/mL in a buffered protein solution ready for dilution, and is intended for the detection of GAPDH in Western blot, ELISA, immunocytochemistry (ICC) and immunohistochemistry (IHC).
Typical starting dilutions are 1:500–1:5,000 for Western blot and 1:50–1:500 for IHC/ICC, with ELISA dilution described as assay dependent; users should optimise conditions for their specific assay and sample type. The reagent is commonly used as a loading control for normalisation of protein loading in quantitative studies, and its monoclonal specificity is noted for consistent lot-to-lot performance.
For storage, the antibody should be kept short-term at 2–8°C and long-term at −20°C, with repeated freeze–thaw cycles avoided. For clone identifier, validated species reactivity and full application validation, the manufacturer or supplier datasheet should be consulted before use.
