From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of horse TNF alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with a TNF alpha-specific capture antibody, paired with a biotinylated anti-TNF alpha detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. Signal is generated using TMB substrate and read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the yellow product intensity proportional to the TNF alpha concentration in each well.

The product range is 31.2-2000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of 13.4 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (range 80-89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across these three sample types, with serum linearity ranging 74-107%, EDTA plasma 79-108%, and heparin plasma 82-105%.
