Equine Tryptase ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative measurement of equine (horse) mast cell tryptase in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a colourmetric endpoint read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The quantitative range is 0.625–40 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.229 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery was validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. In serum (n=5), recovery ranged from 80% to 102% with an average of 91%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81% to 100% with an average of 90%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 80% to 89% with an average of 84%. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. For serum (n=5) the ranges were 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; for EDTA plasma (n=5) 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; and for heparin plasma (n=5) 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.
