Equine Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGF beta 3) assay is a sandwich ELISA intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of TGF beta 3 in equine (horse) samples. Validated matrices are serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay runs on a pre-coated microplate platform with a colourimetric endpoint read at 450 nm on a microplate reader. The reported standard curve range is 125-8000 pg/ml and the reported sensitivity is <31 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. In the procedure, standards or samples are captured by an immobilised antibody specific for TGF beta 3, detected with a Biotinylated Anti-TGF beta 3 antibody, and visualised using HRP-Avidin with a TMB substrate that produces a yellow product upon addition of stop solution; the absorbance is then related to the standard curve to calculate concentration.

Reported recovery values average 91% in serum (range 83%-99%, n=5), 89% in EDTA plasma (range 80%-99%, n=5), and 90% in heparin plasma (range 82%-99%, n=5). Dilution linearity is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
