The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for TIMP2, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-TIMP2 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate detection system visualised with TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.
