From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of horse TIMP1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The format uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for TIMP1 immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-TIMP1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is colourmetric, employing TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and TIMP1 concentrations are derived from a standard curve.
