Equine Procollagen II N-Terminal Propeptide ELISA Kit

The assay is run on a colorimetric microplate reader using a pre-coated 96-well plate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with an assay time of 4h 30m. The measuring range is 3.12-200 ng/ml and sensitivity is <1.34 ng/ml.

Standards and samples are captured by an immobilised antibody, then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Procollagen II N-Terminal Propeptide Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that converts to yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Reported average recovery was 91% in serum (n=5, range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81-100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80-89%).
