Equine Interleukin 4 ELISA Kit

For the in vitro quantitative measurement of equine Interleukin 4 (IL-4), this sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate; standards and samples are added, and IL-4 present in each sample is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-IL-4 detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve spans 31.2-2000 pg/ml, with a reported sensitivity of 13.6 pg/ml. Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80-89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with reported recoveries spanning 74-107% in serum, 79-108% in EDTA plasma and 82-105% in heparin plasma.

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the assay should not be used past its expiry date. The total run time is approximately 4h 30m.
