Equine Interleukin 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of horse interleukin-2 (IL-2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay runs on a pre-coated 96-well microplate with colourmetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and completes in 4h 30m.

The standard curve covers a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <10.5 pg/ml. Standards and samples are captured by an immobilized anti-IL-2 antibody, then detected using a biotinylated anti-IL-2 antibody and HRP-avidin. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance proportional to IL-2 concentration in the sample.

Validation across matrices showed recovery averages of 91% in serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5), with dilution linearity demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across all three sample types. The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not to be used past expiration.
