Equine Erythropoietin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of horse Erythropoietin (EPO) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. EPO is captured by an immobilised anti-EPO antibody, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-EPO Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate yields a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to EPO concentration.

Stated sensitivity is <1.37 U/L and the assay range is 3.12–200 U/L. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed. Validated recovery in serum (n=5) ranges from 80% to 102% with an average of 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) ranges from 81% to 100% averaging 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) ranges from 80% to 89% averaging 84%. Dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across these sample types.

Reactivity is equine (horse), and the kit is supplied with a pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers.
