Equine Eosinophil Chemotactic Factor ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, the Equine Eosinophil Chemotactic Factor ELISA Kit (also referenced as Horse Eotaxin ELISA Kit) is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of horse Eotaxin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids (S1).

The assay employs a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a colourimetric detection format, with absorbance read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. An antibody specific for Eotaxin is immobilised on the plate, with bound analyte detected using a biotinylated anti-Eotaxin antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate visualised with TMB substrate (S1). The stated assay range is 62.5–4000 pg/ml and the reported sensitivity is 26.1 pg/ml (S1). Total assay time is 4 h 30 m (S1). Kit components are intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date (S1).

Validation data provided with the assay report mean recoveries of 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%) (S1). Linearity/dilution data are given for dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (S1). Reactivity is horse (equine) (C0, S1).
