Chicken Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com ELISA kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microtiter plate together with a Biotinylated Anti-VIP Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate; detection is performed with a TMB substrate and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

Key performance figures include a sensitivity of <1.8 pg/ml, a working standard range of 7.81–500 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery data are reported as follows: serum (n=5) 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5) 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions gave the following ranges: serum 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.

Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date. The readout requires a colorimetric microplate reader.
