Chicken Ubiquitin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken Ubiquitin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for Ubiquitin is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added so that Ubiquitin present in each sample is captured by the immobilised antibody; after washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Ubiquitin Antibody binds the captured target, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The blue-coloured product turns yellow on addition of an acidic stop solution, with colour density proportional to Ubiquitin concentration as read by O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is 0.74 ng/ml, with a product range of 3.12-200 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Sample recovery values (n=5) reported in the product documentation are: Serum 82-102%, average 92%; EDTA Plasma 91-103%, average 97%; Heparin Plasma 86-101%, average 93%. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5) is reported as Serum 82-96%, 83-98%, 81-99% and 93-101%; EDTA Plasma 88-101%, 86-95%, 90-102% and 80-93%; Heparin Plasma 80-91%, 82-90%, 95-104% and 79-95%. Detection is colourmetric on a pre-coated microplate platform configured as 12 x 8 well strips, and the assay is intended for research use only.

Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
