Chicken Myostatin ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken Myostatin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow: standards and samples are added to the wells, captured by an immobilized anti-Myostatin antibody, then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Myostatin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Sensitivity is <0.127 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Reported recovery averages are 91% (serum, range 80-102%, n=5), 90% (EDTA plasma, range 81-100%, n=5), and 84% (heparin plasma, range 80-89%, n=5). Kit components include lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
