Chicken Leptin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken Leptin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The Antibodies.com kit uses a pre-coated microplate format, with the target protein bound by an immobilised specific antibody, then detected using a biotinylated anti-Leptin antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised via TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose optical density is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Quantitative measurement covers an assay range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <14.8 pg/ml, and the complete protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5), with overall averages of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.

Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on the component label, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
