Chicken Interleukin 6 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken IL-6 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, together with a biotinylated anti-IL-6 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection relies on TMB substrate, which produces a yellow colour proportional to bound IL-6, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Quantitative performance includes a standard curve range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.8 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5 per sample type) gave average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
