Chicken Interleukin 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken IL-5 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is built around a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) carrying an antibody specific for IL-5.

Standards and samples are added to the wells so that IL-5 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-IL-5 antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The enzymatic reaction yields a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The complete protocol can be run in 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is <6.5 pg/ml with a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Recovery performance has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across a range of dilutions.
