Chicken Interleukin 16 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken Interleukin 16 (IL-16) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. A 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for IL-16; standards and samples are added and any IL-16 present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-16 Antibody is added followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution, with the resulting colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance figures from the manufacturer include a sensitivity of <5.7 pg/ml and a working range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. Recovery data (n=5): serum range 83%-100%, average 91%; EDTA plasma range 90%-103%, average 96%; heparin plasma range 89%-102%, average 95%. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is given for serum (n=5) as 83-110%, 79-100%, 90-98% and 82-108% respectively; for EDTA plasma (n=5) as 90-98%, 90-105%, 73-109% and 87-91%; and for heparin plasma (n=5) as 88-103%, 77-105%, 95-98% and 87-110%.
