Chicken IL-16 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken IL-16 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for IL-16, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants, and is reactive with chicken samples.

Performed on a pre-coated microplate, the assay uses a sandwich format in which IL-16 in standards or samples binds to the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for IL-16 is added, followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm. The assay has a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL, and a total runtime of approximately four hours. Detection is colorimetric.

The kit is shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C or −20°C as detailed in the protocol manual. Kits should not be used past their expiration date and freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
