Chicken Growth Hormone ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken Growth Hormone in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a sandwich immunoassay format: standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with antibody specific for Growth Hormone, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Growth Hormone Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colourimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated against the standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m. The standard curve spans 0.156-10 ng/ml and the assay sensitivity is 0.056 ng/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Average recovery in serum is 91% (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-99%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5); linearity has been evaluated at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across these sample types.
