Chicken Fibroblast Growth Factor 2, Basic ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken Fibroblast Growth Factor 2 (FGF2) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with chicken samples and uses a colourimetric microplate reader-based format on a pre-coated 96-well plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips.

According to the manufacturer's product literature, the working range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.3 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Standards and test samples are added to wells pre-coated with an FGF2-specific antibody; captured FGF2 is bound by a Biotinylated Anti-FGF2 Antibody, then detected using an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Reported average recoveries across sample types are 91% for serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5), with dilution linearity values reported for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.

Kit components comprise a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Standards and detection reagents are stored at -20°C, while the wash buffer, TMB substrate and stop solution are stored at +4°C.
