Chicken Caveolin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this in vitro sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of chicken Caveolin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with a Caveolin 1-specific capture antibody, a biotinylated detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change read spectrophotometrically at 450 nm, with the standard curve used to determine sample concentration. Reported detection range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/ml, and the complete assay run takes 4 h 30 m.

Spike-and-recovery testing reported average returns of 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity in serum across 1:2 to 1:16 fell between 74% and 107%. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as indicated.
