Chicken Carbonic Anhydrase II ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken Carbonic Anhydrase 2/CA2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with antibody specific to the target; standards and samples are added to the appropriate wells where Carbonic Anhydrase 2/CA2 is captured by the immobilised antibody.

Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Carbonic Anhydrase 2/CA2 antibody is added, then an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the analyte concentration is determined from the standard curve. The detection range is 1.56–100 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.59 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m.

Kit components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C depending on the component.
