Antibodies.com supplies a Sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of chicken C Reactive Protein in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for C Reactive Protein. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-C Reactive Protein Antibody, then HRP-Avidin conjugate. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of C Reactive Protein captured in each well, and concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

Intended for use with chicken samples, the kit provides a product range of 0.625-40 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.211 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m on a pre-coated microplate platform using colorimetric detection. Reported recovery values are 80-102% (average 91%) for serum (n=5), 81-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.

Kit components include lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl), Detection Solution B (120 μl), Wash Buffer 30X (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml), and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips), with storage conditions of +4°C or -20°C as specified per component. The kit is not to be used past its expiration date.
