Canine VonWillebrandFactor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Von Willebrand Factor in plasma. The kit is built around a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: standards and test samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for Von Willebrand Factor, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Von Willebrand Factor Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour, read as optical density at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to the amount of Von Willebrand Factor captured in each well.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.17 ng/ml, an assay range of 0.781-50 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Sample-type recovery data supplied by the manufacturer cover Serum (82%-102%; average 92%, n=5), EDTA Plasma (90%-98%; average 94%, n=5) and Heparin Plasma (87%-98%; average 92%, n=5). Dilution linearity is reported for the same three matrices at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
