Description

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine TRAIL in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-TRAIL antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is colorimetric: TMB substrate is converted to a blue product that, after addition of acidic stop solution, becomes yellow; absorbance is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader.

Quantitative performance is defined by an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.065 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported mean recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity is demonstrated at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its stated expiration date.
